Airboy 3 moves the plot along while maintaining a focused view on the degenerates who are creating it. It's bizarre and I love it. #ncbd

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

Renew Your Vows has been a terrific read so far. What an intense issue this week. pic.twitter.com/13jNxOGrHS

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Amazing Spider-Man: Renew your vows 3 is a great SW tie-in. I'm loving the darker take on Spidey, despite the light take on Peter. #ncbd

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

AMERICAN VAMPIRE SECOND CYCLE #9 (Vertigo Comics)

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

BUCKY BARNES: THE WINTER SOLDIER #10 (Marvel Comics)

— James Kaplan (@sinisterjhk) August 5, 2015

BUNKER #13 (ONI Press)

I just dont know how to tell you people more than I am that you need to be reading The Bunker. One of the best books. pic.twitter.com/svr99GybYg

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Bunker 13 is a trip backwards in time, and while it's nice to see something go right for Heidi, there's also some f'ed up stuff too. #NCBD

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Deadly Class #15: Wes Craig is a beast. Depictions of shrooms, coke, and pot all on point and it's a lot of fun to read.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

DETECTIVE COMICS #43 (DC Comics)

Detective Comics 43… Lol, what?!? That last page was not expected at all, especially considering who the villain is. Crazy. #ncbd #comics

Future Imperfect took a twist at the end I didnt see coming. Interesting book. pic.twitter.com/bQbzrzMfvw

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

MIDNIGHTER #3 (DC Comics)

This might have been the best issue of Midnighter yet. Love ACOs art, really brings the story to bloody, violent life pic.twitter.com/MWcFzdbRu3

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

Midnighter 3 is fast-paced, brutal, and has a lot of heart. @thesteveorlando is simply killing it. #ncbd #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

Midnighter #3: This comic is filled with great moments. Beautiful layouts and some really honest relationship bits. pic.twitter.com/hKQGm3mQLW

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

you ever read one of those comics where after you're finished with it, you nearly forget you have other comics to read this week?

— Ray Sonne (@RaySonne) August 5, 2015

that's what Midnighter #3 did to me. If you're not reading that book by now, you're making a mistake.

— Ray Sonne (@RaySonne) August 5, 2015

I don't usually live tweet comics. But Aco's art is out of this world!!! #Midnighter pic.twitter.com/xigBUjEZKq

— Mike Lepine (@lepineisme) August 5, 2015

I mean. Honesty. Beautiful. Fresh. Le sigh. #Midnighter pic.twitter.com/0Ay5IrELRv

— Mike Lepine (@lepineisme) August 5, 2015

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Morning Glories 47 is great as usual! There's a few revelations, and best of all I have a cameo! Go buy a copy, this series rocks! #NCBD

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

MS MARVEL #17 (Marvel Comics)

Lots of good life lessons in Ms Marvel this last issue. But its pre secret wars story line is a little distracting. pic.twitter.com/2SHsbQy790

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

Ms. Marvel #17: The short of it is that I really, really liked this comic. The long of it may contain minor spoilers, so keep that in mind.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

I had this exact conversation with my mom as a child and started sobbing reading it here. pic.twitter.com/CCMk1RHBWJ

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

I see so much of my young self in this scene and it hurts a lot. Wilson and Alphona knocked it out of the park here. Just too damn good.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

NAILBITER #15 (Image Comics)

Wow it seems that the mystery of Nailbiter is much bigger than we ever thought. Thrilling issue! pic.twitter.com/etV3qiPIO4

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Nailbiter 15 is incredible as usual. This is hands-down my favorite comic on the shelves. October 7th is a LONG wait for issue 16. #ncbd

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

NEVERBOY #6 (Dark Horse Comics)

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

OMEGA MEN #3 (DC Comics)

The Omega Men #3: Those 9 panel grids? Damn, that's some Steranko-level stuff. This comic is so damn smart and violent and fun and just good

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

I love everything about Omega Men #3. Every single thing.

— Ray Sonne (@RaySonne) August 5, 2015

Omega Men is great. Hoping to get lots more. pic.twitter.com/bNa8w7EWUV

— Mike Lepine (@lepineisme) August 6, 2015

OUTCAST #11 (Image Comics)

Outcast tugged at the heart strings this issue. pic.twitter.com/PNlz5kH5EW

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

Outcast 11 is good, but I still feel like this story is moving at a snail's pace. #NCBD #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

PROJECT SUPERPOWERS: BLACKCROSS #5 (Dynamite Entertainment)

This was a great issue of Blackcross. Really enjoying how it's coming together. Art is so effectively spooky. pic.twitter.com/1BMKvgwjAo

— James Kaplan (@sinisterjhk) August 5, 2015

Ellis really knows how to revitalize a dormant world. Also want to say how much I just love this Lotay cover. pic.twitter.com/kNG2tsmJ8I

— James Kaplan (@sinisterjhk) August 5, 2015

RED SKULL #2 (Marvel Comics)

This second issue of Red Skull fits perfectly with the bigger events of Battleworld. Great writing, great story. pic.twitter.com/cUQ8Cnacje

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

Red Skull 2 is interesting, although it's still hard to fathom RS and Magneto working together for any reason. I'm enjoying it a lot! #ncbd

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

Red Skull #2: I like the premise, but the execution leaves something to be desired. Rushed in a way that doesn't let it breathe.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

SEX #23 (Image Comics)

Lots of bad things happening with Sex this week. Sex isn't all fun and games. Sometimes Sex can be brutal & violent. pic.twitter.com/tshyG3ezXu

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

THE SHADOW #1 (Dynamite Entertainment)

THE SHADOW #1: versus a secret cabal of crazy prestidigitators–super fun story from @cullenbunn, Timpano & Lesko pic.twitter.com/SypBPM2jLk

— Kirk (@kirkvanlund) August 6, 2015

SIEGE #2 (Marvel Comics)

Siege might be one of my top Battleworld books right now. Great story but the art & guest art is so amazing. pic.twitter.com/9YtXUHsvzA

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

The Siege 2 was just okay until that last page. After that though, I'm kind of excited to see what happens next. #ncbd #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

SPIRE #2 (BOOM! Studios)

The Spire is going to take tome time to unfold. Great characters, big world. Stick with this. pic.twitter.com/kvVbMOEwwk

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

The Spire continues to be really inventive, both in its worldbuilding and layouts. Plus it has piglike things. <3 pic.twitter.com/sUALyIn3Mj

— Ray Sonne (@RaySonne) August 5, 2015

The Spire is really good! Art is amazing and the story keeps ya hooked. Plus, humor. pic.twitter.com/8dpjil45Fn

— Mike Lepine (@lepineisme) August 5, 2015

SPIDER-ISLAND #2 (Marvel Comics)

Spider-Island 2 is a great read. I love Flash taking the lead, and everyone else becoming monsters. It's fun. #NCBD #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

THIS DAMNED BAND #1 (Dark Horse Comics)

This Dammed Band was a very enjoyable first issue. Im interested in whats happening and what comes next. pic.twitter.com/nYWPyCcYnT

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

TRANSFORMERS VS. G.I. JOE #8 (IDW Publishing)

Transformers Vs G.I. Joe #8: Tom Scioli can have my first born child. I don't care. Just give me comics like this forever. Fuckin' bananas.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

UFOLOGY #4 (BOOM! Studios)

UFOlogy is a real trip to read. I like the character s ton and every issue leaves me wanting more. pic.twitter.com/3zOlP8r8eT

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

War Stories took a twist I didnt see coming at all. pic.twitter.com/0bStngzf2Q

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 6, 2015

WE STAND ON GUARD #2 (Image Comics)

We Stand on Guard #2 was a lot better than the first. Im back on board with being excited for this series. pic.twitter.com/y4Av8dBQ5F

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

A lot happens in a few pages in We Stand On Guard. This is another good one from BKV! #ncbd #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

We Stand On Guard #2: Blockbuster in style, angry political allegory in tone. I'm really into BKV and Skroce talking shit so beautifully.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

WICKED & DIVINE #13 (Image Comics)

Wicked and the Divine is kinda baffling me lately. Im sure it will make sense down the road. pic.twitter.com/7Smj1We9BC

— Aaron Meyers (@AaronMeyers) August 5, 2015

Wicked + Divine 13 has little to do with the story, and a lot to do with social commentary. It's good, but not my fav issue. #ncbd #comics

— Comical Podcast (@ComicalPodcast) August 5, 2015

Holy shit. Wic+Div #13 was transcendent. Hands down best issue of the series and maybe of this year. Just. Wow.

— Chase Magnett (@ReverendMagnett) August 6, 2015

WILL EISNER’S THE SPIRIT #2 (Dynamite Entertainment)

WILL EISNER'S THE SPIRIT #2: I'm really enjoying this series! Fun story with amazing art pic.twitter.com/kgCASl6FBT

I’m going to agree with Chase here on Wicked + Divine #13: a devestating issue, perfectly on topic, and the best use of one of the short-lived Goddess arcs (and of that witch Ananke) yet. Plus it was nice to have a different flavor of art for a month, but that social media topic is very real and relevant. Tara’s plight made her much easier to care about than some of the other more arrogant gods.
