A Special Podcast: The Best Comics of 2014

Lance Paul, Myke Ladiona, Ryan Scott, Travis Moody
February 18, 2015
Columns, Shot for Shot

2014 was been a great year for comics, so we thought you might enjoy hearing the podcast of our friends over at GodHatesGeeks talking about their favorites of 2014. Listen on and enjoy!

Hey, so we’re a little late for this one. Why? Because it’s perhaps our most extensive conversation on the Best of Geekness yet. Why? Because it’s Comics GODDAMMUH!

53a847d1af050

Join the likes of your trusty host, the “Monsignor” Travis Moody, “The Traveling Nerd Apostle” Lance Paul, and — live from the home of the Super Bowl, those sun dunes of Arizona — Ryan “Salvation” Scott. Yes, the one and only “Sermonizer” joins GHG on our 4th and final “Best of” podcast. (Not to mention the absolutely heroic efforts from “Brother” Myke Ladiona on the wheels-of-steel.

BUT! We don’t slack for CURRENT topics. In addition to our Parish Picks, we give our thoughts on the latest news concerning the End of the New 52, Secret Wars, A-Force (the first ever all female Avengers team), Convergence, and the rise of Image Comics and ImageCon.

So, we ain’t that dated yo!

(From left to right): Moody, Lance, Ryan.

And here yeee gooo…

If the above SoundCloud isn’t working on your mobile device, then it’s time to get a new mobile device. No– you can alsodownload the show via Mediafire.

About The Author

Lance Paul, Myke Ladiona, Ryan Scott, Travis Moody

The moment when his Uncle sat him down to watch 'Star Wars' on Laserdisc at the age of 6, it was apparent that Myke was going to be a hopeless nerd for the rest of his life. Now he's hopelessly addicted to the smell of popcorn in the theater and isn't physically able to sit down through a movie at home unless it's on Blu-Ray or streaming at 1080p. Luckily for Myke, he grew up a Los Angeles native, and was surrounded by Art Houses, special screenings, places like the New Beverly, and the inevitability that more than 80% of film geeks in LA go from being film fans to trying to become filmmakers.
