The mid-season finale of The Walking Dead continues to provide an uneasy concoction of graphic violence, intense drama, and stupid, stupid bullshit.
What if David Lynch directed a Philip K. Dick scripted Apocalypse Now with Jean-Claude Van Damme instead of Marlon Brando and Scott Adkins instead of Martin Sheen, with a dash of Chronicles of Riddick thrown in for good measure?
The fundamental metaphor of any zombie narrative is the inevitability of death.
And that's why I watch this show. The zombies are an added bonus.
This was the start of something big for zombie enthusiasts the world over.
