If you're reading this comic for the promised appearance of the Runaways, you may be disappointed, but there's still more than enough in this issue to make it an enjoyable, solid read.
It's a more compelling plot than some of the recent issues of X-Men Legacy, with the mystery of who the X-Men have brought with them from Shi'ar space keeping the reader guessing up to the end.
Invincible Iron Man #510 deals with the aftermath of Fear Itself and the emotional toll it took on Tony Stark -- specifically, his choice to drink again.
The fifth issue of Greg Rucka's The Punisher is a Thanksgiving-themed issue and is, naturally, just as cheery as you'd expect Thanksgiving with the Punisher to be.
X-23 continues to be one of the best-written comics Marvel puts out, with storylines that respect continuity without getting too bogged down in "events." It's a comic that can be easily picked up by the casual reader and enjoyed separately from the Marvel Universe as a whole, while still being very much a part of it.
Magneto: Not a Hero #1 isn't a bad comic. It's just not a particularly great one. It has a strong beginning and end, but the middle is a bit muddled and slowly paced.
It's a convoluted and over-packed storyline that, at the end, feels a bit like too many threads to connect into a cohesive whole. It's difficult to follow at times, and while at its core it has the makings of what could've have been an enjoyable X-Men in Space adventure, it gets bogged down in the layers of escalating threat.
If you haven't been reading the latest volume of Ghost Rider, Issue 5 is a good place to start.
Starting over with issue number one, this is a new beginning for Uncanny X-Men. Following the events of Schism, Scott Summers is solidifying his leadership over the mutants who remained on Utopia and reaffirming his commitment to protecting what's left of mutantkind. That doesn't mean, however, that Scott is planning for life on Utopia to be business as usual. He's set up the "Extinction Team," an elite team of mutants dedicated to protecting humanity -- while making sure they know to fear them.
