A comic book movie coming out this year is Sony’s Bloodshot, based on the eponymous series from Valiant. Whether or not this movie is on your list of anticipated 2020 releases I guess depends on your affinity for the Valiant Universe and/or actor Vin Diesel. While my personal expectations for the movie are not high, I am still hopeful that it will deliver a satisfying experience and will be successful enough for the publisher to try and get more of their characters to the big screen.
With Bloodshot hitting screens in a few weeks, it should come to the surprise of no one that the movie is getting a novelization. Those that may scoff at the idea should be reminded that there are several movie novelizations that end being markedly better than the movie itself, including Halloween 2 (1981) and X-Men (2000), just to give a couple of examples. And with this containing a bonus short story, maybe some fans ought to skip the cinema and kick back on their couch with this book in hand.
