This Week in BOOM!

Boom! for 4/29/15: Argh!

This Week in BOOM!

Another small, but excellent week from BOOM!, featuring a couple of really great titles.

Big Trouble In Little China #10 (Cover A Brian Churilla), $3.99
Big Trouble In Little China #10 (Cover B Tradd Moore), AR

I once new some guys who were in a band called LoPan.

Burning Fields #2 (Of 8)(Colin Lorimer 2nd Printing Variant Cover), $3.99
Burning Fields #4 (Of 8)(Cover A Colin Lorimer), $3.99
Burning Fields #4 (Of 8)(Cover B Riley Rossmo), AR

A much deserved second printing of the 25% mark as we hit the 50% mark.

Cluster #2 (Damian Couceiro 2nd Printing Variant Cover), $3.99

And speaking of second printings, here’s one for one of my favorite new books of the year.  If you like science fiction, if you like awesome art, you should be reading this.

feb151161
Cow Boy Volume 1 A Boy And His Horse TP, $12.99

I know absolutely nothing at all about this aside from it being all ages, which is always good.

Hit 1957 #2 (Of 4)(Cover A Vanesa Del Rey), $3.99

The first issue didn’t grab me the way the first issue of the original series did, but it was still enough to keep me interested.  I like the fact that they’re addressing the void in the crime world left after the last series.

Munchkin #4 (Cover A Ian McGinty), $3.99
Munchkin #4 (Cover B Evan Palmer), AR

Apparently, an “exclusive game card is included with every copy of the first printing,” which sounds like a super smart marketing move by Boom.  I still have no idea what the game is, though.

feb151163
Plunder #3 (Of 4)(Cover A Skuds McKinley), $3.99

This has been a great series with a wonderful hook.  I hope we see more even after it ends.  If you like horror and you like honest to god, modern day pirates, check this out.

Rocket Salvage #5 (Of 5)(Cover A Bachan), $3.99

The grand finale!  This is kind of pirate-y, right?

Steven Universe Greg Universe Special #1 (One Shot)(Cover A Ru Xu), $4.99
Steven Universe Greg Universe Special #1 (One Shot)(Cover B Fellipe Martins), AR

It’s dad’s time to shine!

Thomas Alsop Volume 1 TP, $14.99

Collecting the first half of the 8 issue series starring Manhattan’s reality TV sorcerer supreme.
