Pictures were released, not officially from Sony, of Jake Gyllenhaal playing the role of Mysterio in Spider-man: Homecoming sequel in January. Movie production began in July 2018 for movie release date of July 5, 2019.
I don’t see the fishbowl helmet but do see the red cape and the green outfit.
The trailer came out on January 15, we see him in action.
Jake Gllyenhaal is famous for his roles in the Day After Tomorrow (2004). Gllyenhaal was almost cast as Spider-man in Spiderman 2 (2004) due to Tobey Maguire back problems.

Mysterio first appeared in Amazing Spider-man #13 (June 1964). Mysterio is a special effects artist who uses his skills as crime.

I don’t see any copies of CGC 5.5 sold in September. There was one CGC 4.5 sold for $985 on September 25.
Now let see what happens to the market when the trailer came out. There was a best offer accepted for Amazing Spider-man 13 cgc 4.0 of $925 on January 15.
A copy of Amazing Spider-Man 13 CGC 4.0 sold for $810 on March 30 and $878 on March 10. Prices went down? Don’t have enough data to conclude.
We are now less than 3 weeks away from the premiere of the movie, let’s see what happen to the market for Amazing Spider-man 13 CGC 4.0, 4.5 and 5.5? There was a CGC 4.0 copy sold on May 3 for $900. There was a CGC 4.5 copy sold on May 14 for $1,025. There was a CGC 5.5 copy sold on May 12 for $1,250.
Now there is a lot of hype about the Sinister Six team in the third Spider-man movie consisting of Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion and Mysterio. Two other members will be introduced in the third movie? So Mysterio does show up in the next movie, this will be good buy. If not, then all Amazing Spider-man books are collectible anyway.
