Paranoid Video 1.22- I Wanna See Your PeacockA column article, Paranoid Video by: Dylan Garsee, Nick Hanover, Janelle Revord
No longer content to merely review television through the creative use of Friskies gifs and awkward jokes, Dylan Garsee and Nick Hanover have moved on to the internet airwaves, co-hosting CB's own entertainment podcast, Paranoid Video.
Paranoid Video Episode 1.22-
"I Wanna See Your Peacock"
This week, the Paranoid Video triumvirate of Dylan, Nick and Janelle got together with soon-to-be Austin newcomer Zach Davis to discuss Dylan's third favorite day of the year: Oscar nominations, offering some predictions for the upcoming festivities in the process.
As always, you can listen to the episode at the player below or download it here.
Janelle was front and center this week, both in terms of mic placement and in regards to volume and swagger. But that may have been because of the Jack Daniel's. The intro only ran until 4:25 this week, with a brief pause for Portland's Y La Bamba and their "Bendito" track. After that, it was all Oscars, all the time.
As always, here are your podcast hosts, beginning with silent partner Jason "Yakety" Sacksboy:
And in case you want to know what we look like, here is a visual representation of Dylan and myself, courtesy of Emily Marie Palmer:
Dylan Garsee is a freelance writer/bingo enthusiast currently living in Austin, TX. He is studying sociology, and when he's not winning trivia nights at pork-themed restaurants, writing a collection of essays on the gay perspective in geek culture. An avid record collector, Dylan can mostly be seen at Waterloo Records, holding that one God Speed You! Black Emperor record he can't afford and crying. You can follow him on twitter @garseed.
Nick Hanover doesn't want to set the world on fire, unless he has to, which seems increasingly more likely each day. As Co-Managing Editor of Comics Bulletin, he most looks forward to making subliterate internet commenters angry and forcing his record collection on unsuspecting readers through his comic, film and television reviews and miscellaneous other pop culture pieces for the site. He promises to update Panel Panopticon more this year, but you can always find his odd rants about his potentially psychopathic roommate on twitter @Nick_Hanover or explore the world of his musical alter ego at Fitness.
