Last week I went to Aki-con with my friend Helena. She was excited, it was the first con she had been to. It was my third convention but I was excited all the same. She wasn’t cosplaying but I was cosplaying as Hinata from Naruto.
When we first went in there we were so overwhelmed about everything there was. We just wondered around the whole convention to see things before we actually went anywhere. We spend about an hour just walking around and nothing else.
We settled with going to one of the rooms to watch anime episodes. It was just a random room and they were playing Captain Harlock an anime that neither one of us had watched before. We enjoyed that episode so we just stayed in the room to see what they were going to play next. It was a different show but we stayed anyway. I think we were sitting and watch anime for like 3 hours.
After that we decided we should do some more walking around. We spent a lot of time in the Vendor’s Hall. Helena and I were both amazed about the creations fans had made. There was just so much and it was so creative.
I swear that we saw a million pins. There was a lot of fan made drawings that were amazing. Especially to me because I can’t draw a straight line nevertheless a character. I saw a bunch on anime and manga too. I bought a lot of drawings and manga and Helena bought a couple of drawings of her favorite character, Kurisu from Steins; Gate. We had a great time.
After that we went to a hall to listen to a voice actor talk about his work and answer questions from fans. We didn’t ask any questions but enjoyed our time there.
We left to eat late lunch after that and when we came back we just went around the vendor’s hall again. We bumped into a friend of ours, Melinda. She had just gotten there a little while ago so we walked around with her for a while.
Around 6 or 7 we went our long drive home talking about how much we enjoyed the convention and how much we would enjoy going back another year.
