Our dearest Aki Con,
This year, two of us went to Aki Con with our friends, which was a fun and enjoyable experience that we would be happy to return to. We all cosplayed, went to panels, went to the artist alley, and watched some anime. We met a lot of nice people who had the same hobbies as we did.
We were so overwhelmed with how much there was to do. The first thing we did was get a map of everything and look it over so that we could plan out our day. We decided to start with browsing the Artists’ Alley, and came across some awesome works of art, as well as some awesome people. Although many did complain that it was a rather small, crowded space for all of the stands, leaving little space to showcase their work.
Later we continued to the ”staging” area, with the backdrops, and did a small cosplay photoshoot together, which is a feature I’m sure that everyone had fun with. From a relaxing Japanese-styled garden, to a casino with false drinks, it was all a load of laughs for the whole group.
After that, we spread out and did our own things, whether it be watching panels or meeting fellow cosplayers. We spent several hours about doing the thing that most interested or suited us.
In the end, leaving the con was bittersweet, as we had had a lot of fun, but we’d miss the feeling of anticipation and friendship we’d bonded with others over the short time. If you’d have the four of us, we’d love to come again to such a great place. Thanks for your time!
Four dedicated patrons.
