DC’s Infinite Crisis Checklist, Part I: The Cover Version

It took a while to pull together, but I’ve finally been able to complete the first part of my two-part Infinite Crisis checklist. This list is pretty straightforward (well, as straightforward as 135 entries can get), starting at Countdown to Infinite Crisis and ending with Infinite Crisis #7. The checklist includes the four lead-in books (The OMAC Project, et al.), specials, tie-ins, crossovers, and the kitchen sink. I’ve also listed unofficial tie-ins and crossovers. There are several books that do not have a cover banner officially connecting it to Infinite Crisis, yet there is still some kind of information on the front that unites them, at least in part, with IC. To keep myself focused, I kept the criteria simple: It’s all about the covers; what the covers are selling us, what the covers are telling us, and what the covers are showing us. I’ve noted cover blurbs and key visuals where necessary. (Pre-Countdown books, including seven months of Identity Crisis and its respective tie-ins, will be part of a separate list.) Bear with me ’til the end and you’ll get a tease for Part 2, and why it’s going to get a little more complicated.
