James Bond – The Brosnan Age: Goldeneye

John Clark of HaphazardStuff.com
May 30, 2015
Columns, HaphazardStuff’s Superhero Film Series

Since starting my Bond series way back I’ve looked at the 007 films kind of in order. Admittedly earlier entries were just experiments and really rough. It was really the first time I had done any kind of pseduo-documentary, film reviews project. As it happened earlier films got shortchanged as things went on. What was meant to be a quick one minute review of every Bond film leading up to the release of Quantum of Solace, the series expanded, a more indepth look at the films began and I really tried to loosen up my narration (downing some vodka martini’s before recording)

As a result the series has become more ambitious and I’ve tried some different things each time around. After completing The Bond Blueprint I was suffering from 007 overload. Planning to take a
hiatus from Bond and work on other stuff. I soon began slowly working on my next Bond project – The Brosnan Age. It was probablythe most often asked question I would get from fellow Bond fans and followers of my projects – “When are you going to talk about Brosnan?”.

I fully anticipated to have it completed quite some time ago, but alas things happen and work on The Brosnan Age slowed to a crawl. After finally completing the trailer and intro, I eventually finished the first part in the series – GoldenEye and was ready to post it for my YouTube subscribers.

Unfotunately, there was a problem. As followers of this series know these projects consist mostly of using the films themselves, along with my editing, writing, music, anaylsis and the occasional goofy stuff thrown in. YouTube rejected the video due to the length and copyright infringement claims by MGM. This was the first time I had run into this problem. Previously two of my Dalton entries were blocked, but then were later approved. So I really don’t know what has happened this time around. Maybe because the Brosnan films are more recent and popular films that it raised some red flags. I mean, no one seemed to mind I was doing a review of Super Fuzz, but who knows.

To get to the point, The Brosnan Age doesn’t seem like it will be appearing on my YouTube Channel. I would have liked to have kept the entire series all together for the convenience of fans who want to watch them and the ease to get to the next part, but it’s out of my hands. For awhile my review videoes were availalbe at bliptv, but eventually that ended as well.

Hopefully there won’t be any problems and you 007 fans who have asked me about the continuing Bond reviews and want to hear my thoughts on them can view them and they will stay available here. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
