Kickstarter Spotlight: Hard Exit A Dani Divine Series

Robert J. Sodaro
May 29, 2015
Kickstarter Spotlight, News

Hard_Exit-6

In Hard Exit (a Mature Readers Only) comic, a sadistic serial killer is on the loose and leaving a trail of murdered and tortured bodies. This new comicbook series by Atomic Ink Comix in association with Dani Divine is both graphic in nature and dealing with mature subject matter, and is intended for mature readers only.

Issue One is a 32 page, full-color, hard hitting, crime/horror thriller that pits Private Detective Dani Divine up against the dark mind of a serial killer with a penchant for leaving grisly displays of his victims. The killer (known as the Preacher) targets those he refers to as deviants, creatures of the night, and in his twisted mind he is ‘saving’ them. If they happen to endure unspeakable torture and pain in the process? ‘Well, sometimes you need to break a few eggs to make an omelet don’t you?’  With the police at a loss and frankly unmotivated to solve these low-priority murders, help is sought after by Private Detective Dani Divine, a hard talking, hard hitting PI that goes above and beyond to help her clients. Now, on the trail of what appears to be a demented madman, Divine must follow her own rules and bypass conventional law enforcement to track down the killer. She’s not much of a follower anyway.

Atomic Ink is taking the crowd-sourcing route and launching Hard Exit with an Indygogo. Backers who pre-order a copy of Hard Exit, will help ensure it gets made properly and in eye-catching color. It will also allow Atomic Ink to print enough copies to ensure the per-issue cost becomes something affordable. Plus, all of the creators involved with the project will get paid as well, which is also a good thing. The perks offered will most likely suit nearly everyone’s budget — from pre-ordering a 32-page copy of issue one, to being drawn into the comic as a character that gets to interact with Dani. The special perks offered for Hard Exit Issue #1 will only be available through this 30-day Indiegogo campaign so now is the chance to reserve your copy, and help Dani chase down this sadistic killer.

This is issue #1 of a planned 4-issue series, so with fan support Atomic Ink will be able to have all four issues produced and distributed. Shipping charges are included with each level of perk.

This project will be funded on Wed, June 2, 2015.
