Judges is a supernatural adventure comic book written and created by Ben Miller, with art done by Marvel and DC artist Cory Hamscher. The story is about a group of exceptional individuals that come to discover that demons are real, and in many cases, the most evil people among us are actually demons in disguise. The team consists of a SEAL Team 6 operator named Jep, a Sudanese freedom fighter named Deborah, and a Syrian-born computer hacker named Ehud. They are all brought together by a U.S. Colonel named Gabriel to fight the demonic creatures. In the very first issue, Judges focuses on Jep’s journey to becoming a Judge, and his eventual face-to-face confrontation with the demon while he (Jep), is hunting Osama Bin Laden.
According to Miller, there is very little risk of backers not receiving their reward once they back Miller’s Kickstarter project for the second book. The first book has already gone to print, and the printer has informed Miller that he will have them by March of this year. Still, there only two possible reasons for delay: (1) The printer doesn’t deliver on time and (2) the project is so massively successful that it overshoots his print run. Either way backers will still get their book — although it just may just take a little longer than expected to receive it.
As a reminder Kickstarter is an “all or nothing” company. People who submit projects do not receive any of the money unless the project is fully funded within the allotted time frame. Even after you back Miller’s project, he wants to assure everyone that no money will be taken from anyone’s account unless the project is fully funded. Rewards will be sent out once the project is fully funded. This is the policy of Kickstarter.
This project will be funded on Saturday, February 14, 2015.
