Kickstarter Spotlight: Outlaws of Earth

Kickstarter Spotlight, News

Earth_Outlaws-2

Earth Outlaws  is a full-color, 24-page, ongoing sci-fi comic that’s packed with space marines, pirates and galactic bounty hunters from end to end. Molly Schofield and Louis Pryor have teamed up to create an epic space opera comic book that pulls out all the stops to deliver an epic adventure for the reader. Molly Schofield (creator and publisher) has a number of other comic book credits already under her belt, including: Mutant Chasers, My Dad is a Superhero, GBH and dozens other titles under her company Be Amazed Studios. Her co-creator and co-publisher, Louis Pryor, is the founder of Be Amazed Studios. Don Thomas (writer), is a comics veteran most known for writing Sideshow and Five, and is a contributing writer to the Resonate and Point Blank comic book anthologies. Cody Stewart (co-writer), has an ongoing series: a weekly sci-ii webcomic webcomic, and is working on Tides #1. Paul Green (ollustrator) is most known for working on Overun, Starship Troopers and Flash Gordon.

The story of Earth Outlaws is that during a space expedition, a massive meteor impacts a space shuttle, sending the shuttle and its crew into deep space. With no signal and lost communication, NASA believed the astronauts were forever lost, and declared the mission a tragic loss, announcing the names of those on board to the media. One of the on-board astronauts was Dane Quaid’s brother Daniel. Quaid refused to accept his brother’s death, so he asked NASA to coordinate a search and rescue team to find his brother and the rest of the crew. NASA declined. Desperate to find his brother, Quaid enlisted the help from his father James, a retired space marine; Daniel’s girlfriend, Casey Hathaway (a technologist), and Daniel’s longtime friend, Bill Richards, a weapon specialist. Together they hijack one of NASA’s most advanced space shuttles, and head out into space.

Be Amazed Studios now invites you to join the crew as they undertake a quest to find Quaid’s lost brother — a mission that turns them targets for bounty hunters, pirates and alien cyborgs, and eventually fugitives from Earth. Any backer who adds $7 to any reward tier receives a dynamic Paul Green Willow pin-up. Anyone who has already made a pledge can just add $7.00 to their existing pledge to snag this bonus poster of Willow. (You cannot choose the poster as one of your rewards. It’s only a add-on.)

Willow is one of the bounty hunters, who forms an uneasy alliance with rival bounty hunters to capture galactic fugitives. Soon the hunters discover that Tsaras, head of the council that has placed a £400 Million bounty for the capture of a crew called Earth Outlaws. This is the biggest reward ever offered to any bounty hunter. Ready to battle anyone in their way, these bounty hunters are relentless and won’t quit until they’ve brought in their fugitives.

Every penny raised goes towards making Earth Outlaws #1 a reality. That covers everything including the creative talent, graphic design, printing, In other words, the bulk of the money is going to everything that it takes to make this happen. A portion of the money will go to fulfilling all the cool rewards they are offering and a percentage will go to Kickstarter. Any profit will go towards funding future Earth Outlaws stories. All rewards have U.S. shipping and handling already included.
