Kickstarter Spotlight: William Shatner Man O’ War Cinematic Graphic Novel

LNL Partners is a new creative company that specializes in digital comicbooks and graphic novels. LNL’s team consists of Emmy Award-winning Disney and Marvel talent with expertise in animation, music, and audio, as well as world-renowned comicbook writing and art. It has offices in both Hollywood and New York, and it is looking to get folks to join its launch of a revolutionary new digital format — cinematic graphic novels that are powered by the readers!

LNL Partners has licensed William Shatner‘s sci-fi novel Man O’ War, and is adapting it to this new format: The Cinematic Graphic Novel. This entertainment product is designed to be viewed on all digital platforms. LNL’s goal is to apply advanced technologies to the art of storytelling. The Man O’ War Cinematic Graphic Novel is viewed like a film, yet it is also a most excellent reading experience — creating a unique entertainment piece that blends the best of both worlds. Fans will be able to view the company’s digital product on their smartphones, tablets and other digital devices. The story is scored with original music and sound effects, and the text can be converted into different languages to be read around the globe.

The Cinematic Graphic Novel experience is enhanced by LNL’s Digital Distribution Partner, Panelfly, and utilizes that company’s digital platform, Man O’ War will be released as a Cinematic Graphic Novel as well as a Digital Comic and an eBook. The entire bundled package will be digitally interconnected and layered with Bonus Content and features in an App. This will also be a revolutionary industry first. LNL already has skin in the game. So far the team of writers, artists, and editors has contributed their talent, time, and labor to create all artwork, animation, music and audio with internal funding.

For the 2015 launch LNL is seeking funding for creative process and digital distribution. Needless to say, any new business venture has a high risk potential. Still, LNL has done its level best to mitigate this with the following:

  1. Licensed a great story from a world-renowned icon: William Shatner. Mr. Shatner is extremely excited and believes in what LNL is creating.
  2. LNL’s team consists of world-class talent.
  3. LIN is working with a cutting-edge global marketing and digital-distribution company.

For these reasons and more, LNL is confident that it has all the ingredients for success. Still, LNL needs Backer support, funding, feedback, and participation in order to make project this a success.

This project will be funded on April 30, 2015.
