Ed is truly a delight to talk comics with and it’s a shame Joe had to miss him. However, Chase managed to still have a great discussion about Blue Monday with Ed in his absence. The reissued collections of this series from Image are beautiful to look up and hold up remarkably well. Ed and Chase discuss how Blue Mondaycaptures an honest high school experience, experiments with manga-influences, and manages to blend the specific with the universal. Chynna Clugston Flores work on this series really is just as exciting to read today as when it first debuted.
We also cover two new comics in our review segment.

Karnak #6

Finally, in The Comics Canon, we take on whether a certain comic deserves to be considered a classic of the medium. This isn’t for obvious cases like Watchmen or Maus. It’s defined for well-loved or forgotten comics that might need to be reassessed. This week we tackle Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud.
We hope you enjoy the continuation of our newest reboot on the Comic Book Reboot Podcast, long may it last.
