The comics industry recently lost a true legend in Steve Ditko. The reclusive co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange was one of the key pillars which helped shape the Marvel Age of Comics, and whose influence can still be felt to this day. Though he didn’t seek it, he earned the adoration and respect from his peers and fandom for his unique artwork and uncompromising approach to storytelling.
While normally the passing of a legend would inspire us (and other sites) to do a series of articles reflecting on their career, in truth Comics Bulletin has already explored Ditko’s career in depth during the four-part “Ditko Shrugged” series by site contributor Thom Young.
