Dav is also the creator of Dog Man and Captain Underpants. He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was a kid. His teachers found him to be disruptive in class and have him sit in the hallway. While sitting in the hallway, he used his time by drawing and illustrating.

In college, he was encouraged by his professor to draw and write. He won a national competition in 1986. He has published many books which appeared in USA Today bestseller books.

Cat Kid Comic Club is an entertaining book and got me excited while reading, wondering what is going to happen next in the graphic novel. Drawing by Dan is awesome. There are lots of colorful pictures. The characters are vibrant. There are 8 chapters and 176 pages in this graphic novel. This book start out with an introduction to Li’l Petey to the Cat Kid Comic Club. Li’l Petery is the President. The first order of business is figuring who is the vice president. Every character wants to be vice president. The humor and/or chaos are the beginning of this fantastic graphic novel.
