“Safeword” concludes with Yorick confronting his most hidden desire. A new group is introduced and someone dies in another ending that makes you go, “WTF?!” Oh, and someone we haven’t seen since the first issue returns.

It’s really hard to review this comic without giving away the ending. If I tell you what happens, you’ll be less inclined to buy the book. If I don’t tell you enough, you won’t be convinced that this comic is worth buying. I can say that what we learn about Yorick comes as a surprise, yet it makes perfect sense.

Art? Beautiful. Story? Headtripping. One could argue that this series reads best as trade books, but who can wait that long? ‘Y’ is the only comic on the stands that leaves me anxious for the next issue. I need it RIGHT NOW!
