Dear Joss Whedon,

How are you? I am fine. I loved Firefly and Angel. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the best show on television. Your opening X-Men storyarc was utterly brilliant. It is my hope just to write an eighth as well as you, but Joss, may I call you Joss, you lost me.

"The Danger Room is angry!"

I'm sorry, Joss. I just can't buy into this. Yeah, you've got some nice character bits in the story, and Kitty really shines, but the premise is just ludicrous. I don't mean that in a good way.

I know you thought the Sh'iar tech and the whole philosophical "programmed to kill" concepts ere new angles worth exploration, and yes compared to that gods awful Geoff Johns and Greg Rucka issue of Wonder Woman this issue of Astonishing X-Men is a masterpiece, but "The Danger Room is angry!" is just so beneath you. This is such a stupid, stupid overdone premise.

Maybe you thought the cliffhanger would somehow atone for the initial stupidity of the story, but Joss, I'm afraid it doesn't. It just compounds the crime and made me yawn. Plus, that character looks a lot like the original Slayer, Joss. It's a little too soon to revisit Buffy when I know that you have better ideas waiting in the wings.

Well, I'm going to ride this one out. I know your next storyarc will be so incredible that it will break the sound barrier.

Sincerely,

Ray Tate

P.S. Please consider Angelina Jolie as Wonder Woman. She fits every criterion to make Diana awesome.
