Astonishing X-Men #11

Writer: Joss Whedon (?)
Artists: Jon Cassaday
Publisher: Marvel

Captain Picard ventures into the holodeck to stop Moriarty who has become sentient due to Geordi La Forge requesting an opponent capable of defeating "Data" rather than Sherlock Holmes.

Picard decides that the best way to stop Moriarty is to hit him with a big rig then electrocute the tribble out of him.

Meanwhile, the crew of The Enterprise tire out the healers aboard and return in the full of health to their stations. Suddenly, they're caught in an ion storm!

Joss Whedon can do so much better than this. Serenity is a testament, and apart from a few comments between Cyclops and Wolverine, I'd almost concur that the rumors about a ghost writer are true.

If not for Cassaday's illustrations of Kitty Pryde during her conversation with Colossus this issue of Astonishing X-Men would be good landfill material.
