In this corner we haveÖTim Drake, current Robin.
In this corner we haveÖJason Todd, former Robin and current Red Hood.
ďI was here first.Ē
Big wordsÖfor a five year old. Is this what Jason Todd has waited all these years to say? Really?
Jason Todd decides to pay the Titans a visit, kicking Timís rear end in the process. Something else he accomplishes is to destroy several Titans statues, beginning with Donna Troyís. Well, since Donna has returned, a statue commemorating her death is no longer needed. I do think itís odd that we see a statue and even get a mention of Golden Eagle, since the story behind his recent appearance in Hawkman causes a time conflict with his membership in the Titans.
The art was really good in this issue. I enjoyed seeing Jason in the Robin costume now that heís older, even though the coloring was off on his cape several times. I do wonder what Donna was doing on the cover in an action sequence between Jason and Tim when she didnít show up until Jason was long gone.
Iím fascinated with this return of Jason Todd storyline. As Dan Didio said at Wizard World Texas, itís one thing for Batman to have the memory of one of his greatest failures; itís another thing entirely to have it staring you in the face everyday. This was round one in the highly anticipated Robin vs. Robin matchups. I canít wait until Dick Grayson runs into Jason one on one.
