With the news last week that the legendary Steve Ditko had passed away, the comics community saw an outpouring of adoration for the man who helped to bring Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, The Question, and many other beloved characters to life. Tribute artwork was posted on social media by artists including Jim Lee and Gabriel Hardman. Others shared stories of how Ditko’s work had inspired them or brought them a lifetime’s worth of joy (to which, if he were alive today, Ditko would probably shrug at). But there was one voice notably absent from the proceedings: Stan Lee.
Well, it looks as though Lee has remedied that. After a tumultuous week for the comics legend, Lee took to Twitter to discuss the passing of his former collaborator. See the tweet embedded below.
