STREET ANGEL RETURNS THIS FALL IN AN ALL-NEW HARDCOVER

Image, News, Previews

There’s a new STREET ANGEL story on the horizon. I’d wax poetic about the past STREET ANGEL stories, but the press release from Image is really good about it, so I’m going to let them do the talking.

STREET ANGEL TAKES ON THE NINJA-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX THIS NOVEMBER

PORTLAND, OR, 08/27/2018 — The Eisner Award-winning team of Jim Rugg (Afrodisiac, The Plain Janes) and Brian Maruca (Afrodisiac) will release STREET ANGEL VS NINJATECH—a brand-new tale starring your favorite homeless heroine, Jesse Sanchez—this November from Image Comics.

After a hard fight with Ninja Carl, the deadliest girl alive seeks revenge—against the company that manufactured his dangerous weapons. It sure is convenient that it’s take-your-daughter-to-work day!

In her new adventure, Street Angel makes some friends, kinda; helps out a witch, sorta; and fights the Assassin of the Future™: the Ninja 6000 ® by Ninjatech.

“What’s scarier than a 13-year-old girl?” asked Rugg. “A team of 13-year-old ninja girls! Look out, ninja-industrial complex—it’s time for payback!”

STREET ANGEL VS. NINJATECH HC (Diamond code: SEP180117, ISBN: 978-1-5343-0856-5) will be available in comic book stores on Wednesday, November 7th. The final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, October 8th.

It will be available in bookstores on Tuesday, November 13th and can be preordered via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Indiebound, and Indigo.

Select praise for STREET ANGEL:

“Jim Rugg and Brian Maruca’s STREET ANGEL stars my favorite comic-book hero of the 21st century, and features some of the coolest artwork I’ve ever seen.”
—Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Paper Girls)

“STREET ANGEL remains as charming, inventive, and pitch-perfect as it was in the beginning. An indie-comics classic!” —Hope Larson (All Summer Long, A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel)

“With great style and flair, Rugg delivers another stellar story of the ever-sassy Jesse Sanchez, a.k.a. Street Angel. Jam-packed with tween angst, humor, action, and fun, this book is a must-read for the rebel set.” —Cecil Castellucci (Shade, the Changing Girl, Soupy Leaves Home)

“Jesse Sanchez is my new favorite comic book character. Great middle school dialogue and the battle scenes will blow your mind!” —Jeff Smith (Bone, RASL)

About The Author

Daniel Gehen
Editor-in-Chief

Dan was introduced to the 1960s Batman show at a young age, which developed into a lifelong passion for comics. When he's not grinding out his day job, he can be found reading about Scarlet Speedsters, Web-Heads, or Sagas just about anywhere. If it's good he'll read it. If it's bad... there's a chance he still might read it.
