This Week in Boom! for 1/21/15

Gum

The Amazing World of Gumball #7

More great books out this week from Boom:

Adventure Time Candy Capers Mathematical Edition HC, $29.99
Adventure Time Enchiridion Edition Volume 3 HC, $74.99

That’s a lot of allowance money!  I would imagine theses are meant for parents to buy as gifts for their kids or for adults who really love Adventure Time.  Still, the idea of a $75 book based on a Cartoon Network show does seem nuts, even if there’s clearly a market for it.

Amazing World Of Gumball #7 (Cover A Missy Pena), $3.99
Amazing World Of Gumball #7 (Cover B Mildred Lewis), $3.99
Amazing World Of Gumball #7 (Cover C Jemma Salume), AR

Get back to me in 30 days; I plan to be caught up with at least this KaBoom book before its next issue.

Burning Fields #1 (Of 8)(Cover A Colin Lorimer), $3.99
Burning Fields #1 (Of 8)(Cover B Trevor Hairsine), AR
Burning Fields #1 (Of 8)(Cover C Riley Rossmo), AR

Why listen to me say vague things about this new series when you can check out our advance review?

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Bestiary #6 (Of 6)(Cover A Conor Nolan), $3.99
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Bestiary #6 (Of 6)(Cover B Matt Battaglia), AR

The end of this anthology series which featured some excellent talent.

Dead Letters #7 (Cover A Chris Visions), $3.99

Have I sung the praises of this book enough for you to buy it?  No?  Because I can keep going.

LJ

Lumberjanes #10

Deep State #1 (Eric Scott Pfeiffer 3rd Printing Variant Cover), $3.99
Deep State #2 (Matt Taylor 2nd Printing Variant Cover), $3.99

More variant covers for you crazy kids, this time on new printings of an excellent new series.

Lumberjanes #10 (Cover A Carolyn Nowak), $3.99
Lumberjanes #10 (Cover B Kat Leyh), AR

The last issue was great and featured some wonderful artists.  I’m looking forward to what will ostensibly be the second arc.  But here’s a serious question: what does it say about me that Jen is my favorite Lumberjane?

Rocket Salvage #2 (Of 6)(Cover A Bachan), $3.99

Check out the preview (with commentary) available only on Comics Bulletin!

Sons Of Anarchy #17 (Cover A Toni Infante), $3.99
Sons Of Anarchy Volume 2 TP, $14.99

I’ve still yet to take the plunge into the world of Sons of Anarchy, so I can’t comment on the quality of these books.  It’s on my to do list, though, which should begin to shrink when my son goes to college in 18 years.

Woods #1 (Tyler Jenkins C2E2 Variant Cover), $9.99

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you kids and your variant covers.
