Be Not Afraid

Be Not Afraid is an ambitious and evocative entry into the realm of horror comics that skillfully explores themes of faith, identity, and the complexities of maternal love.
Written by Jude Ellison S. Doyle, with striking illustrations by Lisandro Estherren and atmospheric coloring by Francesco Segala, the comic offers a compelling narrative that resonates on both a spiritual and psychological level.
The story centers on Cora Reims, a young farm woman who experiences a prophetic vision that leads her to give birth to a Nephilim, an entity caught between the celestial and the mortal worlds. Seventeen years later, this child exhibits increasingly disturbing abilities that not only threaten the natural order but also cast a shadow of fear and suspicion over the local community. The tension builds steadily as Cora grapples with the duality of her son’s existence and the weight of a divine mandate to confront what she has brought into the world.

The Graveyard Club: Fresh Blood
R.L. Stine, renowned for his ability to evoke spine-chilling suspense and thrilling horror, brings a fresh wave of excitement with The Graveyard Club: Fresh Blood.
A sequel to his previous work in The Graveyard Club series, this graphic novel pushes the boundaries of gothic horror and psychological suspense. It combines dark atmosphere, relatable characters, and Stine’s signature plot twists to deliver a compelling narrative that keeps readers hooked from start to finish.
Fresh Blood picks up where the previous story left off, following the mysterious happenings surrounding a group of high school students who form an exclusive club centered around exploring graveyards. However, in Fresh Blood, the stakes are raised as the supernatural elements become even more ominous, and the members of the club are drawn deeper into a web of horror that might be too much to escape.

Bronze Faces

From New Masters creators Shobo and Shof, and artist Alexandre Tefenkgi (The Good Asian) comes Bronze Faces, a gripping descent into Nigerian history and the horrors of colonialism.
Bronze Faces is set primarily in Soho, London, where childhood friends Timi, Sango, and Gbonka unite, and learn that the British Museum has acquired the seminal works of Timi’s late father. Rightly, they see this as cultural theft, and, the trio plan to reclaim the artwork — now showcased in the British Museum. But that’s not all: when they learn that the museum houses an incredible number of colonial-era stolen artefacts, their mission of reclamation becomes even greater. It’s a heist story, but it’s so much more than that.
In our review, we praised issue #1’s compelling narrative, covering themes of cultural reclamation and the lasting impacts of colonialism.
