Legendary Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson will star alongside Eva Green (The Dreamers, Casino Royale) & Maria Pedraza (Money Heist, Elite) in an upcoming thriller Just Play Dead.
When you look at the esteemed casting for Just Play Dead, it’s more than enough to fuel excitement. Then you take a look at the creative team behind the project, which includes director Gary Fleder (Homefront) and writer Dan Gordon (Rambo: Last Blood), and the hype is vindicated further.
Revealed by Deadline, Just Play Dead is set to be an epic, all-action and intoxicating thriller. The official synopsis reads: “When wealthy criminal mastermind Jack Wolfe (Samuel L. Jackson) is cornered by the Feds, he plans to fake his own death and claim the $30 million life insurance payout with his “grieving” wife Nora (Eva Green), while framing her surfer lover Chad for his murder. But Nora is cooking up a scheme of her own: kill Jack for real, frame Chad and keep the fortune for herself. As lies unravel, Nora and Jack scramble to outsmart one another, leaving one burning question: who will come out on top in this twisted game of life and death?”
In a statement, director Gary Fleder shared his joy to be involved in such an exciting movie with a killer cast behind it:

The movie is produced by Head Gear Films’ Phil Hunt alongside the Gemstone Films team of Valentin Dimitrov, Sagiv Diamant, Moshe Diamant and Gaby Whyte Hart. Highland Film Group’s Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier are also involved as executive producers.
