Every New Image Comics Series Coming in September 2025

Publisher Image Comics has plenty of new and exciting series in the pipeline. In this post, we take a look at what’s in store for September 2025. 

The first half of 2025 has been pretty outstanding for Image Comics. There’ve been numerous standout series, from Exquisite Corpses, to Invincible Universe: Battle Beast, to Assorted Crisis Events, and so on. We’ve documented the best new series so far here.

In this article, we share some of the most exciting new series launching at Image Comics in September 2025. There’s plenty to get excited about, from the beginnings of a new Creepshow anthology, to a new series from best-selling author Robert Kirkman. Let’s dive in:

  • SKINBREAKER: From esteemed creator Robert Kirkman, acclaimed artist David Finch (Batman, New Avengers), colorist Annalisa Leoni (Invincible Universe: Battle Beast), and letter Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS) bring a new 8-issue comic, Skinbreaker. The series tells the story of a people on the verge of collapse and their fight for survival as the many threats they face close in for the kill.
  • CREEPSHOW Vol. 04: A new volume in the beloved anthology Creepshow is back, with issue #1 (of 5) releasing on September 17.
  • ARTIFICIAL: A new 4-issue series from acclaimed creator Maria Llovet (Crave, Violent Flowers, All The Things We Didn’t Do Last Night). The comic is described as Fatal Attraction meets Terminator.
  • CLOSER: Kieron Gillen (The Wicked + The Divine, The Power Fantasy) teams up with fan-favorite Steve Lieber (The Fix, Jimmy Olsen) and colorist extraordinaire Tamra Bonvillain (Once & Future) to bring readers Closer. Out this September, the one-shot comic tells a story of cosmic horror, as first serialised in the Image! Anthology issues #7-9.
  • EVERYTHING DEAD & DYING: Described as The Last of Us meets Yellowstone, the upcoming 5-issue series tells a zombie apocalypse story set within the already brutal and inherently dangerous western landscape. From writer Tate Brombal and That Texas Blood artist Jacob Phillips.
  • GRAY LADY: A new series from writers Mike Benson (Deadpool), Adam Glass (Supernatural, Suicide Squad), and artist Ken Lashley (Suicide Squad). Described as a supernatural thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child, where hope, grief, and terror collide.
  • VIKING MOON: Written by Eisner-winning writer Joe Pruett (Voices In My Head, Cable, Domino) with art from Marcelo Frusin (Hellblazer, Loveless, Kick-Ass: The New Girl), the blood-curdling saga sees Vikings face off against werewolves.
  • NO MAN’S LAND: Acclaimed comics creator Szymon Kudrański, known for works such as Something Epic and Blood Commandment, debuts a new series, No Man’s Land, in September. The high-stakes political murder mystery is told over 4 issues.
  • GOOD AS DEAD: From David & Maria Lapham. The series a haunting story of crime, justice, and death.
