It’s Absolute Batman preview time, folks! And this is a big one, as Martha meets the Court of Owls and Batman faces Poison Ivy. Let’s take a look!
Absolute Batman #17 was another standout issue. Snyder and guest artist Eric Canete brought us all-out-action, while also catching us up with Bruce Wayne’s personal life, offering an update on Waylon Jones. But the bulk of the issue explored the backstory for Absolute Poison Ivy, explaining Dr. Pamela Isley’s history and research work within Gotham City. In the present, Poison Ivy is takes her thirst for revenge on Gotham City after being unleashed from Ark-M. She’s taken over Gotham’s Heart Building, causing absolute chaos. And of course, the issue left readers on a massive, ‘Absolute Court of Owls’ cliffhanger…
As we look ahead to Absolute Batman #18 on March 11, we have preview pages to share. First, check out the official synopsis: ABSOLUTE IVY’S TENDRILS CONTINUE TO INFECT GOTHAM CITY! After the explosive reveal ending last issue, and Batman continues to fight Poison Ivy’s mutated monsters and winds up uncovering an even more gruesome horror that has embedded itself in the city’s very foundations. All while the Joker’s machinations start to coalesce in a partnership with a new ally.
