DC Comics Preview: ‘Batman #2’

The all-new Batman continuity got off to a solid start when it debuted in September 2025. Here’s our preview of issue #2, which is just around the corner.

After so much talk and anticipation, the next era of Batman is being ushered in by Eisner Award-winning writer Matt Fraction (Hawkeye, Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen), artist Jorge Jiménez (Batman, Summer of Superman Special), colorist Tomeu Morey, and letterer Clayton Cowles. Issue #1 was a pretty solid comic. In our review, we called it “bold and different”.

The official synopsis for Batman #2 reads: Injured, cuffed, and tossed in the back of a GCPD paddy wagon with a dozen uncuffed and violent criminals, Robin (Tim Drake) will have to use everything he’s learned from the Dark Knight if he hopes to survive his own dark night.
