Exclusive: New Look at ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Lauren Cohan in ‘When I’m Ready’

The Walking Dead star Lauren Cohan’s latest big screen foray is When I’m Ready, an all-new end of the world romance movie.

Written by Andrew Ortenberg (who also stars in the movie) and helmed by Andrew Johnson, When I’m Ready premieres in theatres February 7th, before becoming available through Video on Demand on Valentine’s Day. The pre-apocalypse movie follows Rose (June Schreiner) and Michael (Ortenberg), a young couple who embark on a cross-country road trip in the final days before an asteroid-triggered extinction.

When I’m Ready is not your typical end-of-the-world movie; the film overflows with heart. It highlights love, emotion and thought above all else. Check out the trailer:

Fans of The Walking Dead are especially excited for the movie, which stars Lauren Cohan, who played fan-favorite Maggie Rhee in the AMC zombie series. She’s now played Maggie in The Walking Dead for over a decade, and will return to the franchise later this year for Dead City season 2. Cohan is not only starring in the new season, but also working behind the cameras as the director of episode 6.

In When I’m Ready, Cohan plays Julia, a former beauty queen who encounters Rose and Michael while searching for a last chance at love amid the end of the world.

Ahead of the movie’s February premiere, we are excited to share two exclusive images of Cohan as Julia. We also share a still of main characters Rose and Michael, and a glimpse of Dermot Mulroney’s character, Kieth.
