Prepare yourselves for more unforgettable adventures in the Four Nations, folks. Up next is Avatar: Seven Havens!
Nickelodeon has announced Avatar: Seven Havens, a new animated sequel to The Legend of Korra. The series will include 26 half-hour episodes across two seasons, and follows Earthbending twin sisters after a massive global disaster. One of them discovers she is the next Avatar following Korra’s death.
Set in a fractured world where the Avatar is seen as a threat rather than a savior, the story focuses on the twins’ journey through the mysterious Seven Havens, humanity’s last safe zones. Original creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino return as executive producers.
Rather than being welcomed, this new Avatar is viewed with suspicion and fear. As the twins navigate a world rife with spiritual imbalance and political uncertainty, they must uncover hidden truths about their past and seek safety within the Seven Havens, legendary strongholds believed to be the last safe places in the world.
A release is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
With Korra now the only recent Avatar to draw wisdom from and with past lives believed to have been severed, fans are already wondering how this new Avatar will find spiritual guidance and balance in a world more uncertain than ever.
First look at Avatar: Seven Havens:

No release date has been set for the upcoming series, although sometime in 2027 seems like a safe estimate. These are exciting times to be an Avatar fan. Perhaps the most exciting project is The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, coming to theaters October 9th, 2026. Plus, of course, there’s the live-action Netflix show, which will return for two more seasons.
