Invincible fans have been desperate for a video game adaptation of the comics for years. And now, finally, Skybound Games has revealed Invincible VS at Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase!
Robert Kirkman’s Invincible comics are quickly becoming one of the hottest superhero franchises out there — which is a pretty big feat when you consider the domination of Marvel and DC. The beloved comics are already midway through being fully adapted into an animated TV series at Prime Video, which is incredible. There’s even a live-action movie adaptation trudging through development. But up to now, there’s never been a video game set in the Invincible Universe.
Unveiled by Skybound Games during Microsoft’s recent Xbox Games showcase, the upcoming title, named Invincible VS, brings together some of the comic’s most iconic characters, including Omni-Man, Invincible, Atom Eve, Thula, and Bulletproof, all for a 3v3 brawl. It appears that the game will follow the show’s lead in terms of its voice cast; in the trailer, J.K. Simmons returns to voice Omni-Man. Naturally, it looks as bloody and brutal as fans can expect. Prepare for the ultimate bloodbath. Check out the official trailer:
While Invincible has never had a full video game adaptation, the characters have popped up across the gaming industry now and again. From fun mobile games, to Fortnite skins, to Mortal Kombat, there’s been a few appearances over the years. Even fans have made their own games and mods based on the comics and show. Invincible VS, however, is by far the most exciting foray to date.
As it happens, Invincible VS isn’t the only tag-based fighter to be announced recently. Just the other day, 4v4 game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls was also announced.
Keep your eyes peeled for Invincible VS, coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X sometime in 2026. Will you be playing Invincible VS? Tell us in the comments down below!
