Marvel Studios Adds Three Movies to Upcoming Release Slate in 2028 & 2029

Marvel Studios has added three new, untitled movies to its release slate for 2028 and 2029.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in for its biggest year since Avengers: Endgame released in 2019. Of course, we’ve got Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing on July 31, and then December 18 brings us the long-awaited return of the Avengers series with Doomsday, featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and the returning Chris Evans as Captain America.

As for what Marvel President Kevin Feige has in store for the franchise’s future, we’re left in the dark, but the roadmap has a steady supply of movies and shows on our screens for years to come. We already knew of two untitled movies on the slate for 2028. The dates are below:

  • November 10, 2028: (Untitled)
  • December 15, 2028: (Untitled)

And now, we can add July 28 for another Marvel Studios flick coming in 2028. This release has shifted after previously being dated for Feb. 18, 2028. In addition, Marvel Studios has added two dates for 2029 movies to its upcoming release slate. These are:

  •  May 4, 2029 (Untitled)
  • July 13, 2029 (Untitled)

The MCU roadmap has movies planned out all the way up until 2032 at the moment. Back in 2025, Marvel President Kevin Feige laid out a “a seven-year plan” for the franchise that “goes to 2032.” However, he also admitted that release dates and scheduling is not a set in stone process. “It’s on magnets, it can move around,” he added.

From X-Men, to the Fantastic Four, to Blade, to a Shang-Chi sequel — there’s still a gluttony of characters and sequels for the franchise to explore. You get the feeling that if the MCU gets the backing to cover everything, the franchise could be hanging around for several more decades at least.

Up next is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing in theatres on July 31.
