From Absolute Batman to Stranger Things, CGC has the lowdown on the most sought-after collectable comics of February 2026.
CGC is the go-to service for comic book grading, cultivating a distinguished legacy for grading not only comics, but collectibles in general. It is the world’s leading third-party grading service, so when they list the most sought-after comics of each month, it helps us track trends — and sometimes, our readers sell-on their prized comic book possessions while the time is right.
Every month, CGC publishes a Hot List, documenting the most sought-after comics of that month. CGC describes these issues as the hottest titles influencing the current market — and that’s reflected in how relevant the IPs are in pop culture. Whether it’s best-selling titles of the last year, or characters that have recently been brought into the forefront of media, or comic tie-ins of already popular television franchises. They make a lot of sense.
For February 2026, we’re seeing Wonder Man, Absolute Batman, Stranger Things, and a couple more. Let’s take a tour.
Avengers #9 (1964)

The comic introducing Wonder Man feels apt given the recent release of Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man series. This comic, written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Don Heck, serves as the first-ever appearance of Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man.
Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #23 (2006)

With a new Supergirl movie out this summer, it’s expected that a beloved and coveted superhero comic would be high on the radar of collectors. The issue that’s much sought after is 2006’s Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #23 from writer Mark Waid and artist Barry Kitson.
The synopsis for the issue reads: A 31st century blowout! Supergirl on Krypton? Shadow Lass running for Legion Leader? Plus an ending no one will see coming!
Absolute Batman #1 (2024)

Absolute Batman #1 is the most successful comic book launch of recent years. The series, written by Scott Snyder with artist Nick Dragotta, has reached an outrageous eleven reprints.
Absolute Batman reimagines the caped crusader’s mythos from the ground up — he’s not the inheritor of a billion-dollar empire, but grows up with no money, still having suffered the trauma of losing his parents at such a young age. It dials everything up to eleven, and as we approach the landmark issue #20, it feels like both Snyder and Dragotta are just getting started.
Batman: Vengeance of Bane #1 (1993)

Batman comics are always popular, but Vengeance of Bane #1 makes the cut. Perhaps Bane has surged in popularity following the storyline from Absolute Batman.
Vengeance of Bane was a limited series running from 1993 until 1995 written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Graham Nolan. The series introduced Bane into the caped crusader’s rogues gallery, and he’s gone on to be one of the most popular villains since.
Stranger Things #1 (2018)

After the recent release of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, there’s no surprise about the sudden demand for the comic storylines. Running alongside events in the hit Netflix series, the Stranger Things comics have managed to carve out a lot of top tier stories in their own right. The first comic spinoff, releasing back in 2018, follows the unseen journey of Will Byers within the hellish Upside Down, where he must use his wits to survive.
