Mark decided to treat us like every other comics podcast and discuss a movie based on a comics property instead. That’s why this week it’s a movie club featuring Logan, the new-ish film directed by James Mangold and featuring Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in their final outing as Wolverine and Professor X. All of the boys liked the film, but come close to taking out the claws when discussing exactly how good it really is.
We also cover two new comics in our review segment.
Inhuman Vs X-Men #6
Written by Charles Soule and Jeff Lemire, who claim to be different writers at Marvel Comics, but I don’t believe it.
Art by Leinil Francis Yu and Gerry Alanguilan
Colors by David Curiel
Man-Thing #1
Written by R.L. Stine
Drawn by German Peralta
Colored by Rachelle Rosenberg
Finally, in The Comics Canon, we take on whether a certain comic deserves to be considered a classic of the medium. This isn’t for obvious cases like Watchmen or Maus. It’s defined for well-loved or forgotten comics that might need to be reassessed. This week we tackle another X-Men comic, the controversial “Old Man Logan” written by Mark Millar and drawn by Steve McNiven. This week we also include Mark in the conversation, because why the hell not?
We hope you enjoy the continuation of our newest reboot on the Reboot Podcast, long may it last.
