Preview: The Quintesson War Explodes in Void Rivals #26

Brace yourselves, folks! The Quintesson war rages on in Void Rivals #26, coming in January 2026.

First releasing in June 2023 from Skybound and Image Comics, Void Rivals served as the launch title of the wider “Energon Universe,” shared comic continuity that also includes legendary IPs Transformers and G.I. Joe. The series comes from a top-tier creative team, consisting of writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), artist Andrei Bressan (Birthright, Destro), colorist Patricio Delpeche (The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country), and letterer Rus Wooton (Fire Power),

Each issue features more familiar faces, while delving into epic, high-scale war. In issue #26 (the first instalment of 2026), the series takes things to another level. Sharkticon hordes sweep the Sacred Ring as the Zertonians and Agorrian’s finally reach unity—in fighting a common enemy!

Void Rivals #26 will feature a main cover by Lorenzo De Felici, along with a lineup of variant covers including an open-to-order cover by Andrei Bressan & Adriano Lucas, an open to order cover by Ben Oliver, a 1:25 incentive variant by Leirix Li, and a 1:50 incentive variant by Chuma Hill.

Void Rivals #26 will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
