DC Collectibles does it again! I am a bit biased, but DC Ccollectibles makes the best collectible products on the market! Imagine how happy I am that the company that represents my favorite superheroes, Superman and Batman, are behind the creation of these modern day masterpieces.

The latest item that I received to review is DC Collectibles’ Batman: Arkham Asylum: Poison Ivy statue, based on designs from the best-selling Batman: Arkham Asylum video game. Set to be released at around the beginning of the new year, this figure is another can’t-miss product for fans of Batman and especially the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game franchise. Poison Ivy has an interesting color scheme on this statue. There’s curiously no green colors, representing the plants that drives Poison Ivy’s villainy. The three colors that cover her are red, black, and grey. The red obviously stands out the most, on her hair, lips, fingernails and a buttoned jacket with dark grey leaf veins running throughout her body.

The pose in the figure shows Poison Ivy giving her classic “Poison Kiss of Death” look. She stands atop a Batman-crest shaped base, measuring approximately 8.5″. Sculpted by Karen Palinko, DC Collectibles needs to continue using her art as a basis of future collectibles because this figure is just so absolutely astounding! The Batman: Arkham Asylum: Poison Ivy Statue is part of a limited edition of 5,200 polyresin pieces, so make sure you get this figure when it comes out. You can get it for around $100, or possibly less if you can find a good deal. The box that comes with the statue shows more statues in the collection; a Batman: Arkham City : Mr. Freeze statue and a Batman: Knight : Batman statue. As a completist, I will make sure to get all three statues standing side by side in my collection!
