Moon Knight is a cult-favorite Marvel character, so it’s always nice to see him get some merchandise of his own. This is a standard pint glass (16 ounces) and features a singular image of the lunatic. The artwork is reminiscent of his 2006 iteration drawn by David Finch. The image shows Moon Knight draped in a shadowy background with images of subtle skulls and the moon present – the perfect imagery for the defender of those who travel at night.
The artwork is appealing, but many images of the product look mostly white or black. When the light catches the glass, the image tends to have hints of brown mixed in. This doesn’t hurt the integrity of the glass, but is something to be aware of when considering this item. The only true problem, however minute, is that you can tell it is a mass produced product. If you collect pint glasses or other types of glasses with images printed onto them, there is usually a clear border from the image to the glass. On this glass however, there is the glass itself, the image, and then a thin layer of clear – something – that separates the glass from the image. It might have something to do with the process of putting the image onto the glass, but it is definitely noticeable.
Thankfully, when enjoying this glass with whatever beverage you choose, it isn’t as noticeable and is insignificant. It’s a fine product that does its job – holds liquid – and looks great while doing so. Moon Knight is one of Marvel’s most unique and often overlooked characters so it’d be a great addition for any Moon Knight fan, however, if you’re a collector of glasses and intend to display this rather than use it, be mindful of the cosmetic defect.
