If you’ve been a reader of our site in recent months, the series at #1 will come as absolutely no surprise whatsoever. Let’s dive in!
No Man’s Land

A suspenseful political thriller, No Man"s Land lures you in through its sleek atmosphere and intriguing murder mystery.
From acclaimed writer and illustrator Szymon Krudanski (Blood Commandment, Spawn, Punisher), comes an all-new political mystery No Man"s Land, which follows a struggling FBI agent, Kevin Collins, who"s sent out to investigate a murder as tensions ignite between the United States and Russia.
Krudanski introduces readers to a world that"s not unlike our own. Set during the Cold War era, the story begins when a murder occurs on the naturally-formed frozen ice path known as the "Ice Curtain" that allows easy passage between the USA and Russia, crossing the Diomede Islands. There"s always been tensions over who holds jurisdiction over the two Diomede Islands — Big and Little Diomede — and following the mysterious killing, the fragile relationship between the two superpowers borders on collapse. The duty falls to an unwilling FBI Agent and a KGB operative to solve the mystery behind the murder, lest tensions boil over to potential nuclear disaster.
Final Boss

Tyler Kirkham"s comic Final Boss packs more than a punch. It"s a rollicking, fast-paced, high-octane, blood-soaked debut issue. But don"t be fooled, it also sets up a gripping and captivating narrative.
If you"re seeking an over-the-top adventure comic with no holds barred action, look no further than Final Boss by superstar artist Tyler Kirkham (Amazing Spider-Man, Green Lantern). The new series is Kirkham"s debut at Image Comics, and it made a big impression.
The mega-sized, 48-page debut issue of Final Boss follows Tommy Brazen, who uses his immense strength for various paid enforcer gigs and street fights. The strength he possesses hails from a past dating back to his grandfather, who uncovered a mysterious island while fighting in the Pacific during the Second World War, and found secrets hidden within. Something about his unique lineage has given him super strength… and maybe a bit more than that.
Skinbreaker

Robert Kirkman, the esteemed creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible, has teamed with David Finch, Annalisa Leoni, and Rus Wooton to deliver an explosive, action-packed, and heartfelt saga in Skinbreaker.
As an enormous fan of Robert Kirkman"s works, from The Walking Dead, to Invincible, to Outcast, to Oblivion Song, and so on, when I heard about Skinbreaker, I added it to my pull list without reading the synopsis. Pretty much everything Kirkman pens is masterful. Am I his biggest fan? Probably.
An 8-issue series, Skinbreaker transports fans to a primitive and tribal fantasy world, where we encounter an orc-esque people on the verge of collapse. We follow Enor, who has been the chieftain of his tribe for many years, but he"s grown old and weary, and can no hardly wield the mighty Skinbreaker — he struggles to even lift it. Given his condition, the people of the tribe believe he"s no longer fit to be chieftain, and so a power struggle ensues. Enor"s reluctant heir, Anor, knows that in order to take the mantle as head of the tribe, he must kill Enor and claim the Skinbreaker as his own. Does he have the strength to rule? Or will others strive to become chieftain?
Viking Moon

Vikings! Werewolves! Whats not to love? In Viking Moon, writer Joe Pruett imagines a brutal world where the two face off against each other, and its bloody brilliant.
Written by Eisner-winning writer Joe Pruett (Voices In My Head, Cable, Domino) with art from Marcelo Frusin (Hellblazer, Loveless, Kick-Ass: The New Girl), the blood-curdling saga sees Vikings face off against werewolves.
Viking Moon takes place years after legendary Viking explorer Leif Erikson established a settlement in North America. After his expedition ended in disaster, Ulf and his tribe of Vikings sail to the shores of Vneland (present day Newfoundland). As they traverse their new surroundings, they encounter indigenous people… and put targets on their backs. However, thats not all they have to worry about. Lurking in the night are creatures of legend; werewolves. And where they’re involved, death is usually just around the corner.
Everything Dead & Dying

Over the years, Image Comics has published all sorts of epic western comics. From East of West to That Texas Blood, there’s been a range of awesome entries in the genre. The latest genre comic, Everything Dead & Dying by Tate Brombal (Batgirl, House of Slaughter) and Jacob Phillips, is a zombie apocalypse western.
In Everything Dead & Dying, we follow Jack Chandler, a farmer, who unwittingly finds himself the sole survivor of the zombie apocalypse in his quiet rural town. Surrounded by droves of the undead, and appearing immune to the virus, he decides against slaughtering the undead in favour of embracing their presence. His zombified old friends and community members exist alongside him, grunting, snarling, and reenacting their old habits and dull routines. This includes his undead husband and beloved adopted daughter, Daisy. Before long, his peace is interrupted by the living — and he’s the last layer of defence between them and the undead community he rules over.
In our review, we praised the creative team behind the series: "The combination of Brombal’s writing and Jacob Phillips’ gritty artwork is a match made in comic heaven," we wrote, handing issue #1 a near-perfect 4.5/5 rating.
Exquisite Corpses

Exquisite Corpses is undoubtedly one of the standout horror comics of 2025. Dubbed the comic event of the year, Exquisite Corpses is written by acclaimed comics scribe James Tynion IV, alongside a number of incredibly talented artists.
The series is a unique twist on The Purge and Squid Game, in which a group of wealthy American families are pitted against each other in a gruesome fight to the death. The official synopsis reads: Every five years on Halloween, the wealthiest families in America play a game. In Exquisite Corpses, 12 of the deadliest people in the world are dropped into a small town with just one goal: last killer standing wins. For the citizens of Oak Valley, Maine—this year’s unlucky arena—the goal is much simpler. They must survive the night.
You’ll Do Bad Things

Created by the esteemed team of Tyler Boss (What’s The Furthest Place From Here?), artist Adriano Turtulici, and lettering legend Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, You’ll Do Bad Things follows a once-famous true crime writer whose fictional tales become a reality when a serial killer strikes.
In You’ll Do Bad Things, it’s been ten years since the release of He Came in with a Smile, the true crime smash hit that chronicled the brutal murders committed by the Nursery Rhyme Killer. But in the decade since its release, its author Seth Holms hasn’t produced another title. He wants to write a story with a happy ending, but every time his fingers clack across the keyboard it always ends in his character’s death. Worse yet? These tales of blood and barbarity that flow so freely from Seth’s mind are starting to happen in real life.
We hugely admired the work in our review of issue #1, praising its combination of horror elements with a profound critique of the stark impact of true crime.
News from the Fallout

While at this point. News From the Fallout is still only just beginning, it has got all the hallmarks of being an immensely popular series. A gloomy, atmospheric series, News From the Fallout is reminiscent of George A. Romero’s The Crazies, but very much exists in a realm of its own. The comic is created by the esteemed team of writer Chris Condon (That Texas Blood, Enfield Gang Massacre, Ultimate Wolverine) and artist Jeffrey Alan Love (The Last Battle at the End of the World, The Thousand Demon Tree).
Battle Beast

Battle Beast has grown into one of the most popular figures in Robert Kirkman"s beloved Invincible Universe. Battle Beast is a super powerful intergalactic warrior. His sole purpose is to seek out an opponent worthy of giving him an honourable death. He got his own series in early 2025, from co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman, co-creator/artist Ryan Ottley (The Amazing Spider-Man), colorist Annalisa Leoni (Cobra Commander), and letterer Rus Wooton (The Walking Dead). The series was a massive hit, and has already been compiled into a TPD edition. It will return with more issues in 2026.
If any comic was going to be an enormous success from the outset, it was always going to be Invincible Universe: Battle Beast. The comic fills in one of the gaping voids from the main Invincible series: the story of Battle Beast.
Assorted Crisis Events

Are you surprised? Probably not.
Assorted Crisis Events #1 is the first comic that we scored a perfect 5-stars to in 2025. Since then, we"ve given it another perfect score in its fourth issue. The comic comes from a stellar creative team, including award-winning team of Deniz Camp (Absolute Martian Manhunter), artist Eric Zawadzki (House of El), colourist Jordie Bellaire (Birds of Prey), and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Assorted Crisis Events is an action-packed, chaotic, multi-apocalyptic series pushes the boundaries of the comic medium, while also being grounded enough to tell a very human story.
Assorted Crisis Events is utterly bonkers from the outset. It sets the scene in a word where time has become so distorted that everything happens at once — events and people from the distant past and far future collide. Behind every corner there could be cavemen, medieval knights, cyborg soldiers, and other unlikely entities. And naturally, there’s people cashing in on the end of the world. Every page will shock you, surprise you, or simply bewilder you. If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, Black Mirror, or Crisis on Infinite Earths — thisll be right up your alley.
