Top 10 Best-Selling Image Comics Titles of January 2026

From Gunslinger Spawn to Skinbreaker, Image Comics saw fan-favorite ongoing titles make up the top 10 best-selling for January 2026.

Image Comics entered 2026 with a ton of momentum. January was a big month for some of the publisher’s most esteemed ongoing series, not least the Energon Universe, as well as Robert Kirkman’s very own Skinbreaker series. But of course, Spawn naturally leads the way. Just creeping in there too is Jason Aaron & Mahmud Asrar’s Bug Wars one-shot Bug Wars: The Spyder Wytch, which took readers darkest corners of the yard.

All in all, January was a stellar month for Image Comics. Our favourite single issue, which came a bit too late to feature in the top 10, came in the form of Deniz Camp’s Assorted Crisis Events #8, a poignant and powerful one-shot story about a struggling writer who gets caught in the gutter of his own comic. The unique concept got a unique single issue print, hitting shelves in newsprint style. It has since returned to print.

As for which singles make up the top 10 best-selling for January 2026, the publisher has revealed the full overview, which you can check out below:

  1. GUNSLINGER SPAWN #50
  2. TRANSFORMERS #28
  3. EXQUISITE CORPSES #9
  4. G.I. JOE #17
  5. G.I. JOE #18
  6. SKINBREAKER #5
  7. VOID RIVALS #26
  8. GEIGER #20
  9. G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO #324
  10. BUG WARS: THE SPYDER WYTCH (ONE-SHOT)

With February 2026 now upon us, Image has an exciting slate of projects coming our way. There’s a few to look out for, but we were most impressed by White Sky, a new series debut perfect for fans of The Walking Dead, 28 Days Later, and Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. Check out our review of White Sky here. Plus, also this month is the launch of the new Universal Monsters series retelling The Phantom of the Opera. The new content comes thick and fast!
