Marvel fans rejoice! The season for Avengers: Doomsday trailers is officially here, and we have a grasp of which characters will be front and centre.
Both Marvel and DC have some big movies coming in 2026. DC will premiere Supergirl and Clayface, while the MCU has Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, of course, Avengers: Doomsday. The latter is undoubtedly the most anticipated movie of all. It’s the first Avengers movie since Endgame in 2019, bringing together a new generation of heroes, while also marking the return of some old-school favourites.
We already know that a gluttony of heroes will be present in Avengers: Doomsday. There’s Thor, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, Black Panther (Shuri), Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Loki, and Deadpool. Numerous X-Men will also appear, including Professor X, Magneto, and Beast/ Plus, Robert Downey Jr. returns to the franchise, but this time as Doctor Doom. We expect many, many more appearances to take place as well.
Doomsday will show off its first footage in four separate teaser trailers, each running before Avatar: Fire and Ash in theatres. Depending on when you go to see Avatar, you’ll experience one of the four teasers. And now, thanks to a report from Feature First, we know which characters will be the focus of each teaser.

Fans are certainly surprised to see Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers as the first character to be teased. It’s also a little controversial. “Steve got his happy ending,” one fan wrote on X. “We have a Captain America. He doesn’t need to be the lead again.”
Until recently, it was unclear how big of a role he’d have in the movie, but according to DanielRPK, his appearance in the first teaser establishes his presence as a key character in the movie.
