As we’ve mentioned previously, 2025 has been a sensational year so far for Image Comics. With works like Assorted Crisis Events and more recently Exquisite Corpses, we’ve already handed out a few 5-star ratings. And BOOM! Studios has stumbles across a winner, too, with Peter Pan retelling The Last Boy selling out completely!
The Last Boy a huge success; rushed back to print!
In The Last Boy, writer Dan Panosian reimagines the classic fantasy tale by J.M. Barrie, adding a unique spin on the story, while retaining the essence of the original.
The comic has proven an immense success at BOOM! Studios, selling out completely at distributor level. The upcoming second printing featured cover art by series artist Alessio Avallone, available in stores May 28, 2025.
Assorted Crisis Events rushed to its third printing!
Deniz Camp’s Assorted Crisis Events has been one of our stand-out comics of the year so far. The chaotic, multi-apocalyptic series takes everything great about the comics medium and dials it all up to 11. It’s high-octane, epic storytelling. In our review, we scored it a perfect 5/5. Image Comics will fast-track the debut issue of the series back to print this week in order to keep up with growing demand.

Phantom Road rushed back to print!

“It’s so great to see reader’s reacting to tis new Phantom Road arc,” Lemire said in a statement. “After our hiatus, Gabriel and I wanted to come back strong, and this new ‘Horrormen’ storyline is designed to be a great jumping on point for new readers”
Black Ritual: The Book of NYX #1 also rushed back to print at Image!
Sticking with Image Comics, next up is miniseries Black Ritual: The Book of NYX #1, from Thomas Healy and artist Nat Jones. The comic has also been rushed back to print after selling out at distributor level. The highly anticipated second printing will feature all-new cover art by acclaimed Spawn artist Jason Shawn Alexander.
“When I heard that Black Ritual: The Book of Nyx #1was going to get a second print, my first thought was how awesome the Spawn Universe fans were,” said Healey. “Getting to help create the corner of the Universe where magick and witchcraft thrive is a dream come true. And truth be told, this whole journey started due to Nat wanting to revisit the character of Nyx. We are just so grateful to the fans for supporting the book.”
