On October 7, Marvel Comics is launching one of its most exciting lines of recent years: the Midnight Universe. It all kicks off three new titles: Midnight Spider-Man by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and ScieTronc, Midnight Fantastic Four by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker, and Midnight X-Men by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte.
Naturally, Midnight Spider-Man is getting plenty of attention. The series sees a young Peter Parker transformed into a hideous spider hybrid by the ruthless Oscorp Corporation in their pursuit for eternal life. However, when Oscorp begin to use the secrets unlocked by his mutation to create more human-animal hybrids, Peter embraces his grotesque new form to stop them. It presents a unique Spidey-storyline to kick off the Midnight line.
