Fall 2025 is crossovers galore for industry titans Marvel and DC. Headlined by Deadpool and Batman, there’s also several exciting backup stories coming our way.
Both Marvel and DC have had a storied rivalry since the mid 20th-century. However, the two titans of the American comic book industry have crossed paths a couple of times in the past, beginning with crossover event Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man back in 1976. The crossovers would continue periodically throughout the next 25 years, with the most recent being Kurt Busiek’s JLA/Avengers(2003–2004).
Now, 22 years after the previous crossover, the two publishers have once more joined forces for a number of crossover events, spearheaded by Deadpool and Batman. Deadpool/Batman #1 is by Zeb Wells and Greg Capullo; Batman/Deadpool #1 is by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora.
“This is more than I ever imagined I could do in my career, and it is a huge honour to be part of this crossover: it doesn’t happen too often, and I am a HUGE Deadpool fan!” Dan Mora said in a statement. “When I first worked with Grant, I didn’t know what to expect but it was an incredible team-up. I always hoped to work with Grant again, and working on Batman/Deadpool is like a dream come true. Grant and I working together on this once-in-a-lifetime project is going to be such a fun experience.”
