From Rick’s iconic hat, to Daryl Dixon’s legendary crossbow, there’s hundreds of iconic The Walking Dead props heading to auction.

The Walking Dead wrapped up in 2023 after 11 seasons on air. During that time, it became one of the most popular and successful shows on all of television. Of course, the franchise continues to grow and expand through a number of spinoff projects, such as Daryl Dixon and Dead City.

Now that the main series has long ended, props are starting to make their way to the market. And we’re not just talking about distant set pieces — some of the items up at auction are the most symbolic and coveted in the entire series. We’re talking about Daryl Dixon’s crossbow ( from seasons 1-3) and his Custom Triumph Bonneville chopper (from seasons 1-4), Negan’s “Lucille” barbed-wire baseball bat (from seasons 6-10), Rick Grimes’ iconic Sheriff Hat and hero .357 Magnum (from season 1), and Michonne’s  katana (from season 3).

Did we mention that Rick Grimes’ hospital gown and boxers are also up for sale?

The auction is being held by Heritage Auctions, with bidding taking place from October 6–November 1, 2025,

“This auction is a celebration of The Walking Dead Universe’s incredible legacy and devoted global fanbase,” said Rob Fox, Executive Vice President of Production for AMC Networks and AMC Studios (per Deadline). “Partnering with Heritage Auctions allows us to share the artistry and storytelling of this Universe with collectors, giving them a chance to own a tangible piece of the original series and its popular spin-off series that continue to grow this franchise and captivate millions.”

“This is one of the most thrilling auctions in Heritage’s history,” Joe Maddalena, Executive Vice President at Heritage Auctions, said. “These aren’t just props and costumes. They’re touchstones of a show that redefined modern television — and now, they’re up for grabs.”

In addition, long-time Walking Dead make-up artist, executive producer, and director Greg Nicotero weighed in on the massive opportunity for fans:

“As a collector myself, I am delighted that fans and collectors get the opportunity to own a piece of Walking Dead history. Our show really did change the way people watched genre television and brought zombies into their living rooms every Sunday night….you can’t beat that! We always tried to keep the zombies scary and interesting with a sense of dread and foreboding. We worked out a formula that preserved horror and realism, but still let the actors give a performance.”

You can place your bid on props here. Prepare so spend a small fortune on some of them.
