The Fantastic Four will return in March 2026 with an all-new one-shot prequel comic called Fantastic Four: First Foes

The Fantastic Four: First Steps was one the most popular Marvel Cinematic Universe movies of recent years. The team will return to our screens in 2026 with the release of Avengers: Doomsday, where they team up with the Avengers and other heroes to fight Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. However, before then, we’ll see Marvel’s first family return on the page in an upcoming one-shot prequel comic from creator Dan Slott and artist by Mark Buckingham.

There’s not too many details about the one-shot comic yet, but we know that it’s called Fantastic Four: First Foes and it’ll see the team face off against the Mad Thinker — an evil genius known for his robotics. It’s written by esteemed Fantastic Four, Spider-Boy, and Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott, alongside artist Mark Buckingham (Marvelman, Fables). Phil Noto (Jonah Hex, X-23, Uncanny X-Force) has drawn the cover.

Set on Earth-828, the comic documents an early adventure of the Fantastic Four before they faced Galactus in their MCU debut. Check out the official synopsis below:

“As the Fantastic Four rise to become the heroes we know today, the Mad Thinker becomes determined to get his proper due by turning the city of tomorrow against its heroic patrons!”

This comic marks the first of four MCU tie-in comics coming in 2026. Each comic follows different characters and plot lines established in First Steps.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is now streaming on Disney+. Did you enjoy the movie? Tell us in the comments down below!
