From Godzilla: Infinity Roar to Romeo & Juliet & Godzilla — here’s an overview of new Godzilla crossover comics coming our way in 2026.
Bizarre comic book crossovers aren’t anything new. Far from it. Look no further than Archie Meets the Punisher (1994), Transformers and My Little Pony (2020), and Yogi Bear and Deathstroke the Terminator (2018). There’s plenty of them. If there’s one reoccurring theme over the years, it’s that Godzilla is central to a lot of these bizarre crossovers, which includes (but is certainly not limited to) Godzilla vs. Charles Barkley (1993).
If you’re a publisher, there seems to be nothing more tantalising than bringing the King of Monsters, Godzilla, into stories in bizarre crossovers. It’s been happening for many years, and the trend continues in 2026 — with some of the weirdest crossovers yet. For instance, prepare for Godzilla to appear in William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. We’re not kidding. What’s on the horizon for 2026? Let’s take a tour!
These are crossovers that we currently know about. If any further comics are announced, we’ll add them in!

Godzilla: Infinity Roar
Release date: February 4, 2026

This crossover event always felt like a matter of time away. Godzilla: Infinity Roar is written by Gerry Duggan (Deadpool Destroys the Marvel Universe) and drawn by Javier Garron and Ig Guara. It promises a whole lot of over-the-top, high-octane action.
“Well, the Marvel heroes tried to handle the problem ethically, but they only made the crisis worse by exiling Godzilla in space for a bad actor like Knull to take advantage of,” Duggan teased to ComicBook. “This will mini will really surprise people — it’s not going to end how you think it will.”

Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre Presents
Release date: April 8, 2026

Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre Presents is a new four-issue line of oversized one-shot comics. The most notable of these issues includes a story seeing the King Lizard plunged into Fair Verona, overseeing the Montagues and Capulets.
“It’s such a treat to put my own spin on the King of the Monsters as well as one of The Bard’s most famous plays,” said the comic’s artist Sean Peacock, adding: “Some really insane stuff in this book.”
Writer Adam Tierney celebrated the opportunity to play around in the possibilities of such a wild crossover: “It’s an honor to play in that sandbox and also reimagine one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays,” he said. “I can’t wait for everyone to see all the craziness we’ve come up with.”
Each one-shot also includes a five-page backup story by Tom Scioli. One of these backup stories includes a foray to the English woods, where Godzilla meets Robin Hood himself.

Archie Vs. Godzilla

Release date: Unannounced (Rumoured for 2026 release)
Before we get into the details of Archie Vs. Godzilla, it’s worth first noting that this is not officially confirmed for 2026 release.
Mark Wade is one of the most acclaimed comic book writers out there nowadays, especially for DC Comics. His work includes such esteemed titles as The Flash, Kingdom Come, and Superman: Birthright. He’s also interested in tacking an Absolute Universe title — more on that here. Beyond that, Waid is tackling his own Godzilla crossover, which will see the kaiju stomp on Riverdale. Little is known of the project so far, but Bleeding Cool did a great write-up on it. They also noted a very interesting point that this comic could draw from a 1965 Archie comic cameo featuring Godzilla. Whether it does, we’ll have to wait and see.
