Lewis Pullman shares his excitement for Avengers: Doomsday, comparing it to esteemed fashion event, the Met Gala.. but with superheroes.
It seems like every other day that another actor has been cast in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday — it’s become a meme at this point. With such a gluttony of characters, from our original Avengers team (including Steve Rogers and Thor), to the New Avengers, to the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and beyond, the cast of Doomsday is chock-full. And the movie’s central villain is Doctor Doom, played by none other than Robert Downey Jr. in his return to the franchise after playing Tony Stark for over a decade until Avengers: Endgame in 2019. There’s all sorts of wild rumours too, not least the return of Thanos in Secret Wars.
One returning actor is Lewis Pullman as Bob Reynolds/ The Sentry. Pullman made his MCU debut in Thunderbolts* and is expected to play a significant role in Doomsday. We’re already aware that he’s part of one of the biggest ensemble casts ever put to screen, and as someone heavily involved, he recently told Entertainment Tonight that entering set was akin to “going to the Met Gala [that’s] full of superheroes.” I suppose the same could be said for the average comic-con, too.
“I felt very out of body the entire time,” he added. “I was truly flabbergasted at how I could be of service in something that is surrounded by so many total legends”
Suffice to say, he had a whole lot of fun working on the film. “I had so much fun. I can’t wait to see the movie”
Avengers: Doomsday releases in theatres on December 18, 2026. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars a year later. We’ll keep you posted on all the latest news and updates. Are you excited? Tell us in the comments down below!
